At Commend, we are committed to sustainability and take our responsibility seriously. Our philosophy has always been to develop products that are long-lasting and future-proof, minimizing resource consumption while saving our customers money in the long run. With our Eco-Trust program, we aim to further reduce our ecological footprint and make our products and processes more resource-efficient and sustainable.

Sustainability at Commend – Our Efforts

Our approach to economic sustainability is to design products with longevity and repairability in mind, creating devices that can last for decades. This not only benefits the environment but also provides our customers with long-term cost savings and investment security.
In terms of environmental sustainability, we have a clear commitment to resource conservation and waste reduction. We are ISO 14001 certified and have implemented various sustainable practices, such as energy-efficient manufacturing processes and the use of high-quality, recyclable materials. Our R&D and production site in Salzburg, Austria is equipped with a photovoltaic system and our vehicle fleet consists solely of electric or hybrid cars.
We also prioritize social sustainability, ensuring fair practices, community well-being, and cultural support. We prefer to source our components and services locally, with about 75% of components sourced from local suppliers, promoting the local economy. Our products are designed to protect people, and we support local initiatives, such as the Charity Challenge and the Commend art project in Salzburg.
