Port Communication
At major ports, countless tonnes of containers are moved everyday. When giant freight ships tie up at docks, the various harbour teams are under great pressure to coordinate activities. In addition to cargo ports, there are special ports for LNG, oil and chemicals where the highest safety requirements apply for the safe loading and unloading of the cargo.
Unified Communication Platform
At the docks, at cargo terminals, high up in the crane driver‘s cab, on the forklift or next to a truck loading bay - Intercoms have been developed specifically to meet the needs of these kinds of environments. Optimized networking of all port facilities ensures continuous communication channels on the entire site.
The integration of radio, public address, telephones and mobile apps enables a unified communication platform and significantly improves efficiency. Different environments require different Intercom stations – from touchscreen stations to heavy-duty stations for Ex-zones.
Values and Perimeter Protection
Access control and communication at access points and entrances ensure that only authorised transport service providers and persons enter the respective zones/areas. Calls that cannot be answered immediately are automatically forwarded to mobile devices.
When securing the port area, audio solutions are the perfect complement to video surveillance and, for example, automatic announcements can be played back in response to video detections.
